With an economic crisis breaking out in the country, Indians are cancelling advance bookings, even though hotels have dropped rates to record lows, according to the Travel Agents Association of India. But that year, Indian tourist arrivals rose to over 56,000 visitors, making Indians the largest foreign group of tourists in Sri Lanka for the first time in decades.
